Week 1 Wrap-up

Just finished the first week of the 90 day challenge and it wasn’t too bad overall. I started the challenge with a gain on the first day so it took some time to work that off. In total for the week it’s looking like a loss of 6.7 lbs which is probably a bit more than I should be losing. Over time this will even out, it usually does. I like to weigh in every day because I like the stats on the charts. I should be doing weekly averages but that would require yet another spreadsheet and I’m not sure I’m ready to do that.

I have not been to the gym in over a week though - mainly because I go to the UNL Rec Center and the last week has been pretty busy with student’s coming back for the fall semester. Over the weekend they had a bunch of welcome back activities and I decided to just stay away and wait. The next thing I need to do is get down there on a Saturday and do the Super Circuit orientation, I’d really like to start doing that a couple times a week to start.

On Saturday I went for a morning walk and ended up at nearly 5 miles total. I need to start building up my total miles at one time stamina because I’m planning to walk the Lincoln half marathon in May. I also picked up a brochure for a 5K walk in October that I’m planning on doing. It’s a charity walk for lung cancer research so I’ll need to get signed up and start getting donations. I’m excited as it would be my first actual walking event.

As far as eating, I did pretty well this week but since today is my birthday I was a little more lax the last couple days. Decided that since it was my birthday I would just enjoy myself, within moderation, because that’s how you have to live life.
